Going to see artworks is an indispensable experience, which can not be replaced by reviewing articles in magazines or posts online. Below are some of the local galleries and museums, all linked so that you can find out what you’d like to see. I will also distribute information as the semester progresses.

The Minnesota st project estalblished a fairly new gallery district in the dogpatch area of SF. This link displays all the currently held exhibitons. You can access galleries info and websites by using the top left menu. There are 13 different galleries in the Minnestoa st building; they are very different to all museum environments, which will mean that you encounter artwork differently. Remember that all the art you see in museums was initially presented in smaller galleries just like these.
